Weeks Eight and Nine

September 17 Ruby's Birthday

Today I went to Ruby's birthday party. First we went upstairs to play with Ruby's ipod. Next we went to watch the bee movie. Then we played ten party games. My favourite was pass the parcel. After that we had chocolate chip cookies, banana muffins and lemon cake. Ruby's dog Guddle had a red balloon tied to her collar.

September 24 Brownies and Scottish Dancing

Last Monday I did Brownies and Scottish dancing. At dancing we dance with a partner. We mainly use our feet, not the other parts of our body. For Daisy Doe we use our hands and feet and we go in circles with our partner. My favourite dance is the piroette. After dinner I walked to the Brownies hall with lovely mummy. We did heaps of art about cats. First we had to colour in a cat with no tail. Then we had to plait the tail blue, yellow and pink. We decorated a plate with a cat scene. Last we toasted marshmellows by a flame.

  1. Hello gorgeous girl - I really like the way Mummy is getting you to help with the ironing by laying your head on it in the dining room - that's smart thinking - she can do two things at once - give everybody a tour of your house and get the housework done - Harry's idea of sweeping the floor with his pyjamas is also very helpful but could be a bit tiring. Maybe you could wear some dusters on your feet while you are practising your Scottish dancing and clean the floor as well! Harry's new bedroom is very spacious and he looks very happy with his new bed in the bay window (tee hee hee). We have been getting on with our day to day things here and it's nearly holidays for everybody. You are going to have a lovely time touring around with Mummy and Daddy and I am posting a little present tomorrow so I hope it gets to you soon....Maybe Mummy will take you to the Jorvik Viking Centre in York - Lewis and I really enjoyed seeing how the Vikings lived and you will be able to see bits of the Roman Wall and see all those wonderful old buildings - it will be great and then you have London and Anne and Peter to look forward to - what a fabulous time you have coming up...on top of the fabulous time you are having....Is Harry's leg alright now? - He is like a soldier in the wars and needs a full body bandage to stop any further injuries - like poor Dan Carter - tell Mummy we have had almost full coverage of his groin injury over the last 24 hours - he could do with a full body bandage as well- he's an All Black and the news is full of the Rugby World Cup at the moment. I can smell our dinner - we are having chicken and roast potatoes with flour on like Mummy likes - just like your Great-Grandmother used to do. Love to you and Mr Bandage from Nicky and Lewis.
